| I have shown in this series of articles
| |
| | If the Fourth Day Biblical Chronology is
|
| that there are several pieces of evidence
| |
| | the correct model this lack of
|
| that the Persian Empire did not last the
| |
| | archaeological findings is easily
|
| 200 years proposed by historians but only
| |
| | explained. Persia was only present from
|
| 21 years as described in the Old
| |
| | 352 B.C. to 331 B.C. so there should only
|
| Testament. This is an idea I presented in
| |
| | be about either 21 years of artifacts
|
| detail in my book, The Fourth Day: Why
| |
| | present. If you believe the Conventional
|
| the Bible is Historically Accurate. My
| |
| | Chronology there would have been 207
|
| article, "Old Testament History
| |
| | years (539-332 B.C.) to indicate the
|
| Revised-Jeremiah's Eclipse" provides
| |
| | presence of the Persians. The Persians
|
| astronomical evidence from the Bible for
| |
| | were just not there for much of the
|
| this idea and my article, "Old Testament
| |
| | period in question. Peter James states
|
| History Revised-The 390 Days of Ezekiel"
| |
| | that information is lacking on many
|
| provides evidence from a famous prophecy
| |
| | levels. A Persian strata is difficult to
|
| from the biblical book of Ezekiel for
| |
| | see and few architectural remains are
|
| this idea. This article provides
| |
| | present. Those strata that are present
|
| archaeological support for a "short"
| |
| | are of the timeframe after 450 BC (there
|
| Persian Empire based on information
| |
| | is almost no evidence of finds prior to
|
| described in Peter James' book, Centuries
| |
| | this period). According to Peter James
|
| of Darkness.
| |
| | other archaeologists have lamented the
|
| Archaeological Findings of the Babylonian
| |
| | fact that to be such a relative recent
|
| and Persian Empires
| |
| | timeframe in history there is
|
| Recall that earlier in this book I
| |
| | surprisingly few finds for this period.
|
| proposed that the Babylonian Empire's
| |
| | (page 170, Centuries of Darkness). All
|
| reign over Judah occurred about 180 years
| |
| | these observations just enforce the
|
| later than the Conventional Biblical
| |
| | observation that the Persian Empire was a
|
| Chronology dating. The Conventional
| |
| | short-lived event in the history of
|
| Biblical Chronology dates the Babylonian
| |
| | Judah. Peter James doesn't have much
|
| captivity of Judah as 585 B.C. while the
| |
| | better news about the Jewish Exile to
|
| Fourth Day Biblical Chronology places it
| |
| | Babylon. James paints a bleak picture for
|
| in 401 B.C. If the Fourth Day Chronology
| |
| | archaeological findings in the timeframe
|
| is accurate shouldn't it be reflected in
| |
| | 587-539 BC that represents the Babylonian
|
| the archeology? What about Judah's
| |
| | Conquest. More than one hundred years of
|
| migration from Persia in accordance of
| |
| | Biblical history is barely evident in
|
| the edict by Cyrus II to rebuild the
| |
| | archaeological evidence. Peter James
|
| Temple in Jerusalem? According to the
| |
| | poses the question: does the time period
|
| Conventional Biblical Chronology this
| |
| | from 587-450 BC in Palestine represent
|
| would have occurred in 539 B.C. however
| |
| | some kind of dark period in Israelite and
|
| the Fourth Day Biblical Chronology dates
| |
| | Babylonian history? (Centuries of
|
| this event in 350 B.C. Let's allow Peter
| |
| | Darkness, pages 170-171). Indeed not.
|
| James' book settle the matter. According
| |
| | Since, according to Fourth Day Biblical
|
| to the Biblical record during the reign
| |
| | Chronology, the Babylonians and the
|
| of King Cyrus the Persian it was a very
| |
| | Persians did not show up in the lives of
|
| active time in Israel. Those that
| |
| | Judah until after 450 B.C. there is
|
| acquired wealth in the Babylonian and
| |
| | certainly no reason to believe in a 'Dark
|
| Persian reigns of Babylon returned home.
| |
| | Age' in Palestine. The evidence speaks
|
| The land was resettled, the Temple
| |
| | for itself, the Babylonians and the
|
| rebuilt and walls of Jerusalem were
| |
| | Persians were just not there from 587
|
| rebuilt. Despite all this activity Peter
| |
| | B.C. to 450 B.C. They were not there
|
| James records that there were few
| |
| | because the Persian Empire only lasted
|
| findings for the 539-332 BC timeframe in
| |
| | twenty one years, not the more than 200
|
| the region. (Centuries of Darkness, page
| |
| | years that the conventional chronology
|
| 170)
| |
| | model claims.
